Day 1: Oibek – Khujand
Tajik driver will pick you up on the border and accompany you to Khujand city. Khujand is located in the North of Tajikistan, the administrative center of Sughd province. It is located in the magnificent valley of the Syr Darya river at an altitude of more than 300 meters above sea level. Today, Khujand is the largest industrial, industrial and cultural center of Northern Tajikistan and the second most important city in the Republic with a population of more than 155 thousand people. Representatives of more than 20 Nations and nationalities live here. In course of the tour you will visit Cultural Palace of Khujand. At this wonderful site the first president of Tajikistan was elected. Then you will explore Central Mosque that is located in the heart of the city, this building architectural masterpiece. Night will be spending in the hotel.
Day 2: Khujand – Istravshan – Khujand
Your adventure starts with transferring to Istravshan. Istaravshan is considered to be a Museum under the open sky. In 2002, the city celebrated a significant date — 2500 years since its Foundation. Since ancient times, this picturesque city has seen an active development of crafts and trade. Kurukuda was the ancient name of the city, according Persian literature. Due to the geographical location of the city of Istaravshan, a favorable mild climate always prevails here. Summer is hot and dry, and winter is snowy. Duuring the tour you will visit Mugtepa, the fifteenth century Kuk Gumbaz Mosque and local bazaar. Today you will explore the highlights of the ancient city Istravshan. After that you will transfer to Khujand.
Day 3: Khujand – Seven Lakes
Today you will transfer to amazing Fannsky Gory (Fann Mountains). You will head over pass Shahriston (3 378 m) to the lakes. The lakes are called Marquzor lakes, but each of them has its own name. It is considered that at this area is the best for hiking and one of the best of Central Asia's most popular hiking areas. You are going to have a day trip to the Seven Lakes (Marquzor Lakes), about 60 km south of Panjakent. You will enjoy hiking in this site because you will admire the magnificent beauty of nature. You will go along the road where located 7 lakes are. The lakes are located on different altitudes and have different colors. On the way you will meet local people and communicate with them. You will learn more facts about Tajik people today. Night will be spending in the homestay.
Day 4: Seven Lakes – Penjakent
This day your destination will be Penjakent. Penjakent is a tourist city. It is known for having unique attractions and architectural masterpieces. The first villages on the territory of present-day Penjakent appeared more than 5.5 thousand years ago. This city is one of the oldest in Central Asia. At the very beginning of the city's history, there were five villages that gave it its name, because Penjakent is translated as"5 towns". In the V-VIII centuries AD, the city stood out from the rest. It was known as “Central Asian Pompeii”; it was a major center of culture and crafts of ancient Sogd. In Penjakent there were markets, two temples, the ruler's Palace, and the homes of the noble citizens. The decoration was wooden and clay images of the gods and abundant paintings. Penjakent was one of the most developed and well-fortified settlements of that time. The development of the city was greatly facilitated by the fact that the Great Silk Road passed through it. You will spend the night in the hotel.
Day 5: Penjakent – Dushanbe
Today you will transfer to fascinating Dushanbe. You will drive over Anzob pass (3 372 m) today and tunnel of Isticlol. During the tour you will be admired the beauty of virgin environment. You will drive over mountain passes and on the way you will shoot a lot of amazing photos. Upon arrival you will explore the best sights of the city such as: Rudake Park, National library, White House, National state seal, House of parliament and Jomi theatre. Afterwards you will wander in one of the best attractions National park to see Ministry of Inner Affairs and the biggest National Flag in the world. In August 2011, the flagpole installed in Dushanbe was recognized by the Guinness Book of world records as the highest in the world. Further you will continue your tour with exploring Central Museum, Archeological museum and Gurminj Museum of traditional musical instruments. Overnight will be at the hotel.
Day 6: Flight
In the morning is transfer to the airport.
