Defensive tower Burana

If you want to book, you may contact our managers.  Burana Tower is the minaret of the Jami mosque, the city of Balasagun-the capital of the medieval Karkhanid Khaganate destroyed during the invasion of the Mongol-Tatars in the XIII century. The tower is the only thing that has survived from the big city.

Burana Tower is 12 km southwest of Tokmak and 80 km away. to the east of the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, in the foothills of the Kyrgyz ridge on the left bank of the Chu River.
